“Les femmes jouissent d’abord par l’oreille” disait Marguerite Duras... Et on l’entendrait presque ajouter “dans tous les sens du terme”.

In the words of Marguerite Duras, “Women enjoy first through the ear”... And one could almost hear her adding “in every sense of the term”. “J’ouïs dire” is a play on words with the verb “ouïr” in French which means to hear and “jouir” which means to come.
